Aujourd’hui c’était quartier libre ! On est allé sur Hong-Kong Island voir les grands batîments, rentrer à l’intérieur pour profiter d’une vue surprenante de la ville et se promener.

Le soir, après un restaurant chinois fort pas mauvais ^^, nous nous sommes rendus en bons touristes à l’endroit inmanquable de la ville: Victoria Peak.

Ainsi, ma vision de rêve de la baie de la ville prise en photo de nuit a été réalisé, et voici ce que ca donne:

Ce n’est que mon deuxième jour dans la ville, et le trait de caractère de la ville qui ressort le plus pour le moment à mes yeux est le nombre incroyable de boutiques !!!

Voila je suis bien arrive, apres 12 heures de vol et 9650 km et des poussieres plus loin.

La ville est vraiment depaysante, je posterai des photos tres bientot. Par contre il fait une chaleur de folie, l air est suffocant, il faut qu on s habitue.

C t un post en speed, je prendrai plus de temps pour vous decrire la ville dans un autre post.

Pour le moment tout se passe bien, mon parrain qui nous attendait a l aeroport est un bon guide, il nous a trouve un petit hotel pas cher, on est equipe d un tel mobile deja, et on a deja rencontre une autre francaise par hasard dans le cybercafe, donc voila on est pas trop perdu

C’est déjà la fin de l’été pour moi, mais surtout le début d’une nouvelle aventure.
Désormais, ce blog va prendre tout son sens et ses posts seront plus sérieux (ou pas), plus développés aussi, et surtout, grande nouvelle pour vous, TOUS en français !

Cet été était placé sur le signe de la séparation, des retrouvailles puis à nouveau séparation. J’ai quitté mes amis de l’INT et de prépa, je les ai revu en Juillet le temps d’un week-end, j’ai retrouvé ceux du lycée le temps d’un voyage en Corse (dont je garde pleins de bons souvenirs) et en Août j’en ai revu d’autres, mais maintenant c’est de ma famille que je me sépare. Je suis sûr que je n’arriverais pas à me retenir de verser des larmes pour le départ :’(

Ainsi, je pars avec une certaine inquiétude, la peur surtout de ne pas pouvoir faire face à l’inconnu et la solitude, mais j’ai la ferme intention de ne revenir de toute façon qu’une fois cette peur vaincue, et mes objectifs personnels atteints. J’ai encore le temps d’y réfléchir, rendez-vous dans 4 mois pour savoir comment j’aurai évolué
Bref, tout ça pour dire que j’ai en main mon destin, plus question de fuir désormais. Comme beaucoup d’entre vous me le disent, c’est une formidable opportunité qui m’est offerte, et je dois en profiter à fond !

Ne vous inquiétez pas, je suivrai votre conseil à la lettre ^^

Finally here it is, the new design of the site. I am really happy to have it ready before my departure ;p

Designed by Ludivine Marques (a Toulonese graphist I met during the Mang’Azur festival at Toulon), this layout intends to represent my adventures in Hong-Kong, and to show how I will adapt myself in this big city, while I am rather addicted to calm and silence when I hike and climb in the moutains ^^

You can’t see it on the site yet, but I have also designed photos galleries, so browsing photos will be easier when I will post some
It has been tested on latest Safari, Firefox, Camino and Opera 9 and should display properly on these browsers. I have to fix a few things to make it work properly with Internet Explorer 6 (damn …)

Feel free to leave a comment to give me your opinion on this layout !

In order to finish the development of VBulletin Torrent Tracker as soon as possible, I need to get massive feedback, especially on the tracker announce, passkey and stats reporting part.

I have hence decided to make the latest beta available to public, so anyone can try it and give his impressions and report any bug on the forums.

Today, I tried running CounterStrike after having installed Steam, thanks to CrossOver, a program that allows you to run Windows Applications directly on the Mac Os X desktop, without the need to launch a virtual machine or rebooting your Mac with BootCamp, and allows you to continue working simulteanously with your opther mac apps.

The results are amazing ! Game is fluid, at least 30fps, and totally playable !
Going to run CounterStrike Source now, will keep you updated !

Now, totally off-topic, but I wanted to say to the world:
Get yourself a MacBook Pro and drop your Windows laptop in your trashbin !

Well, humm I am getting too enthusiastic, just get a MacBook Pro if you can, it is really a worthful purchase, trust me ! All tasks can be performed on MacOs (graphics, office, coding …), it features a unix console, has a great user interface, is fast and powerful and now it runs Windows applications natively (yes, you read correctly): using a program called CrossOver from CodeWeavers company, I have been able to run multiple windows applications directly under Mac Os X. Here is a screenshot of my own program Iml2Iso Enhanced running with killerapp !

And, according to the program list, you can run games like Half-Life, Steam and World of Warcraft directly too, it’s simply crazy Having tried BootCamp, Parallels and CrossOver, I can tell you the time when Windows was required for work and gaming is now over !

Viva my MacBook Pro !

Yesterday I went to Sanary to see my friend Alexandra. By the way, I was also glad to meet her sister and her mother.

We went to the beach, but the Mistral blew at 90km/h, so it was really windy !
Although the sea was very agitated, we took a bath, and enjoyed the strong waves that stroke us and made us move like a bottle inside a stormy sea, carrying us back to the shore. Hopefully, the water temperature was very pleasant, and when we left the sea for the beach, we were frozen by the wind lol !

Anyway, I was happy to talk of various topics with you Alexandra, and I hope to see you soon again !
And don’t worry, you will get news from me even when I will be some thousands kilometers away on the other side of the earth ^^

PS: I thought Hercules Poirot was an old and boring tv series, I was plain wrong, I might start watching it now

I have made some small updates to my software:

Torrent Trader Lite is now available in version 2.0.1, which brings some bug fixes and updates (the rss 2.0 feed is now based on the specifications paper I wrote)

After getting some feedback about the Bittorrent RSS 2.0 Specifications White Paper, I have updated it and changed some elements, so you can check the revision 2.
