 Samsung SyncMaster 931BW (February 24, 2007)
Filed under: General — admin @ 2:19 pm

I have ordered recently a new 19 inches widescreen LCD screen: the Samsung SyncMaster 931bw.

I just received it yesterday, and I must say I am really impressed by the quality of the picture, the brightness, the contrast compared to all the other LCD monitors I have tried until now. (my previous one was a Samsung SyncMaster 930BF, and I tried many brands: LG, Acer, Sony …)

Main features of this screen:

  • Size: 19 inches
  • Widescreen: 16/10 format
  • Luminosity: 300 cd/m2
  • Contrast : 2000:1
  • Resolution : 1440 x 900
  • VGA / DVI connectors with included cables in package
  • 2ms response time

All of this for less than 250 euros. This screen is to me (and according to the press) the best LCD screen available right now, and on top of that it is cheap ! It is ideal for gamers, graphists or just to watch movies in fullscreen. I would definitively recommend you to buy it, but be warned that the demand for this screen is so high that it is very often out of stock: took me 2 weeks to receive it

Here is how I work: dual screen on a MacBook Pro
My Desktop

Dual screen changed my life, I am 10 times more productive now ! I can work on several documents at the same time, and have all of them opened in front of me. Having to switch from one document to another makes you loose so much time !
And when I don’t work, I can still chat on one screen while watching a movie on the other.

In one word, if you have an investment to make I would recommend you to get yourself a second screen (of course a Samsung SyncMaster 931bw ^^), you won’t regret it and it will change your life (or at least the way you work :-) )
