I am back from a week-end in Saint-Nicolas de Veroce where I spent 3 days skiing with a group of friends. The weather was very shiny, and the snow very good. We have skied, played games, eaten good meals: tartiflette, raclette, fondu, and chocolate cake thanks to Berangere ^^

This week-end was so funny, I almost died out of laugh (not by skiing, since I am iron man ^^)

Today is the 23rd of March, official day for the release of the Sony Playstation 3 in France.
Well, I don’t know if it is because I am getting bored by videogames, or that’s because I have seen the PS3 when it was released in Japan and in Hong-Kong, like 4 months ago, but for the first time ever, I don’t care at all about the release of a new gaming machine !

When XBOX360, Wii, Gamecube, PS2 … were out, I bought them almost the first day they came !

But not this time with the PS3 ! Maybe it is the price: 600 euros. Woh ! Have gamers became all of sudden high-class people that can afford any expansive new gadget ?
Maybe also because since I have seen games running on the PS3, I felt the difference of graphism with the XBOX360 was not that important, and it was not worth investing in a new console just for this argument !
Last thing is: “oh my goooddd, but it’s hugeee !!!!!! Where am I supposed to find some free space for this HUGE baby ???” Yeah, PS3 is FAT. Like an american (a free criticism lol -> joke). I will wait maybe for the PS3-2 so it gets slimmer.

Ok, let’s stop the blaming for now and talking about my opinion.

Today I read the news, and I felt like I was not lonely Yesterday, some promotional events were organized under the Eiffel Tower and on the Champs Elysee to start selling the PS3 at midnight. Maybe it was the cold weather that prevent many people from queuing to be the first to have the PS3, but journalists have reported that:

• 4 people bought the PS3 at the FNAC of Champs Elysee
• less than 20 people bought it under the Eiffeil Tower

Ah ah ah ah !!!!! So much buzz, promotional event with a bought coming from the Seine at midnight to stop at Eiffel Tower and start selling to the thousands of people waiting there ??? No Sony has made a dream, and they have wasted a lot of money ! France is not Japan, France is not the USA. Marketing is not all.

So to sum up, the PS3 Launch sounds already like a big failure. This doesn’t mean the console is already dead. No, I believe it might take well on the market, but not before one year or two. Just the time that the price gets lower, that people get more HDTV equipment and see unmissable games on the Sony’s console. ! XBOX360 and Wii have not to worry that much for the moment I guess.

I often work for webmasters who ask me to add specific features to their websites.

Some time ago, I worked on an open-source script that lets you start your own Bittorrent Indexer called T-Xore, to add several features to it and make it more user-friendly with many Ajax, more performant and reduce the number of bugs left out by its original author.

I have recently been working once again onto the same sources, to add a whole set of other features, and bring a new improvment to this source by rewriting totally some parts of it.

You can still find on this webpage the list of possible modifications (updated now) that I can bring to your T-Xore powered website if you are interested in getting the most of it.

Samedi je me suis rendu avec mon groupe d’amis habituel au Salon de l’erotisme de Paris. Bien que la sortie en soit etait marrante, on a bien rigole avec mon groupe d’amis (qui n’etait pas exclusivement masculin je tenais a le signaler ), je reste assez mitige sur ce salon.

Il y a eu quelques animations certes, des shows de strip-tease et des personnes invitees assez celebres, mais dont la presence n’apportait rien vu qu’il n’ont quasiment pas parle … mais payer 25 euros l’entree pour finalement acceder a un sex shop geant n’a rien de bien interessant. Donc non pas de rencontres avec des personnalites du X, des interviews, des conferences d’auteur au sujet de l’erotisme … telles que j’aurais pu l’attendre d’un salon professionnel.

Par ailleurs, le titre du salon est aussi assez trompeur: salon de l’ erotisme ! A mon avis cela s’apparentait plus au salon de la pornographie et du X, car il n’y avait rien de sensuel, erotique mais pas degradant ou vulgaire Dommage, moi qui aurait bien voulu en profiter pour decouvrir et apprendre certaines choses pour mes futures partenaires ^^ c’est rate.

Bon bref je n’en ai pas eu pour mon argent j’ai trouve, alors peut-etre que je cherche trop l’intellectuel et que le milieu ne s’y prete pas ?!

 Je vais mettre quelques photos dans ce post quand meme, il est toujours plaisant sur son site d’avoir de photos de femmes/hommes (je pense a mes lectrices) vetu de maniere a mettre leurs formes en valeur :o)

Oh, already one week with no new posts.

No, I am not in pause mode, I am just damn busy !!! I have prepared several interviews with many people, who are as busy as myself and so there’s nothing really new to write on my blog for the moment But I keep having ideas coming. THere will be a rush anytime soon, at least I hope.

Just to give you my daily schedule:

8:00 AM: Wake up
8:00-9:00 AM: read emails from work on my computer, reply them all
9:00 AM: shower
9:30 AM: go to work
10:00-14PM: work
14:00-14:30PM: lunch break, eat a sandwich, stay connected with work with my PDA phone
14:30:19:30-20:00PM: work again
20:30PM: Option 1: have dinner with friends in nice restaurant; Option 2: come back home and eat
22:00PM: read emails of the day (generally 100), reply them all, replies mails from work too
22:00PM-24:00PM: work again, but for myself on my sites and scripts
24:00PM-1:00AM: getting crazy, so much work, so little time, want to take a rest, watch movies …
1:00AM: I am damn tired, I am getting to bed

As you might notice, I am a workaholic !

Yeah, work keeps me in a good mood makes me crazy, but at least it changes my mind, and I really need to in this period.

Ok, next week I will show you my daily schedule when I have no work to do !

An interview with Patrick De Laive, co-founder of Fleck, a service that allows you to add a note to any page, then send it to your friends or use it in your blog. We talk about Web 2.0, Fleck, Entrepreneurship and the future !

I would like to talk in this article about a new service that I discovered recently and that I find really great: Fleck ! This service is still in beta, but I find it very promising.

Fleck lets you annotate any webpage and share your annotations with any one. They are providing post-its and mementos for any webpages, and you can share them with your friends to work collaboratively !

This concept is not really new since many other web services offered it before. However, the really amazing thing is that thanks to Web 2.0 technology you do not need to install any software on your computer, everything is working with transparent layers that appear on top of your webpage. And Fleck has dozens other good ideas that make this service very cool to use. If like me you often send webpages links to your friends/family members/co-workers and they ask you “but where is the information you are talking me about ?” then Fleck might be of great help for you. But don’t limit the scope of use of Fleck to this example: it is far more powerful and social !

In case you are a heavy user of the service, they have also developped tools to make your life easier and save your time:
- a plugin is available for both Internet Explorer and Firefox
- bookmarklets for Firefox and Internet Explorer

Although it is still in beta, Fleck’s team aims to fully release the second version during The Next Web conference (June 1, Amsterdam) has told me Patrick De Laive, one of Fleck’s founders.

Now we are going to make a short walkthrough of the service, as said previously the best is to try it by yourself to see how powerful it is.

1. Type in the address of the website you want to annotate and click on the “Go” button
   
2. The website will load and you will see appear a toolbar at the bottom of the page, where you can perform several actions
   
3. Click on the “Note” button, a note will appear on top of the website. You can move it anywhere you want just by dragging it
   
4. Type your comment inside the note and click on the “Share” button to send a mail to your friends with a link to the flecked page
   
5. You can also submit the page to your blog directly from Fleck
   
6. That’s all for the walkthrough, pretty easy isn’t it ?
